Do you regret not talking to the hot person on the train reading a book you like? Did your last Hinge date reveal that they haven't read a book since high school? Has a trusted friend recently made some decidedly sub-par reading suggestions? If you replied yes to any of the above, you are warmly invited to join us for a new McNally Jackson book club! In lieu of a traditional sit-down discussion we'll mix and mingle at our Seaport beer and wine bar and discuss a new book that we're particularly excited about, or an older title we think is worth revisiting.

In May we're reading The Talented Mr. Ripley, the first volume of Patricia Highsmith’s five-book Ripley series. There's a reason this book has spawned so many adaptations (including a new Netflix series!); it's sexy, unsettling, glamorous, and the perfect book to kick off the summer. As the writer Peter Swanson wrote in The Guardian, "The writing immerses you in the details of mid-century travel. Gin at lunchtime, cafes in the sunlight, lives conducted through letter-writing: all a lovely backdrop to a tale of murder."

Books can be shipped out or picked up at any McNally Jackson location. Just choose your preference at check out.
