The Curious Afterlife of Jack Kerouac: Come and spend the evening with Joyce Johnson, lover to Kerouac and author of the new biography, The Voice Is All: The Lonely Victory of Jack Kerouac. Johnson will be discussing On The Road, Walter Salles' recent film version of the book, and the question of how Kerouac's work has been interpreted over the decades. She will be joined in conversation by John Tytell, author of the groundbreaking Naked Angels: Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs, and Paradise Outlaws: Remembering the Beats, Regina Weinreich, Kerouac Scholar and documentary filmmaker, and Ann Douglas, author of A Terrible Honesty: Mongrel Manhattan in the 1920s.
