Unfortunately we are unable to Livestream this event.

For nearly four decades, David Sedaris has faithfully kept a diary in which he records his thoughts and observations on the odd and funny events he witnesses. Anyone who has attended a live Sedaris event knows that his diary readings are often among the most joyful parts of the evening. But never before have they been available in print. Now, in Theft by Finding, Sedaris brings us his favorite entries, offering a rare look into the mind of one of our generation's greatest comic geniuses.

David Sedaris is the author of Barrel Fever and Holidays on Ice, as well as collections of personal essays, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and his most recent book, Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls, each of which became an immediate bestseller. Sedaris’s pieces appear regularly in The New Yorker and have twice been included in The Best American Essays. There are a total of ten million copies of his books in print and they have been translated into 29 languages.

Due to overwhelming anticipation and limited standing room, vouchers will be given to the first 160 people who buy a copy of David Sedaris' new book, Theft by Finding, on the day of the event only. Each voucher will admit a single person to the reading at 7pm, although you needn't buy a voucher to meet David Sedaris after the reading. There is a limit of two books per customer. In order to accommodate all in attendance, we will be broadcasting the event throughout the store. Again, David Sedaris will gladly meet all who attend and sign your book.
