Poetry Society of America: Tommy Pico & Jana Prikryl

Two poets read from from recent work in a continuing series with the Poetry Society of America.

Tommy Pico is the author of IRL (Birds, LLC, 2016), Nature Poem (Tin House Books, 2017), and the zine series Hey, Teebs. He has been a Queer/Art/Mentors inaugural fellow, a 2013 Lambda Literary fellow in poetry, and a 2016 Tin House summer poetry scholar, and has published poems in BOMB, Flavorwire, and the Offing. Originally from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay Nation, he now lives in Brooklyn where he co-curates the reading series Poets With Attitude (PWA) with Morgan Parker. 

Jana Prikryl's first collection is The After Party (Tim Duggan Books, 2016). Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper's, the London Review of Books, and The Paris Review, and she writes essays on photography and film for The Nation and The New York Review of Books, where she works as a senior editor. Growing up from the age of six in Canada after her family fled Communist Czechoslovakia, she has lived in New York City since 2003.
