Join us for an event to celebrate the great Graywolf press, one of the most exciting independent publishers in America. Readings by Max Porter (Grief is the Thing with Feathers), Dorthe Nors (So Much for that Winter) and Leslie Jamison (The Empathy Exams) will be followed by a discussion moderated by Graywolf publisher, Fiona McCrae.
Max Porter works in publishing. He lives in South London with his wife and children. Grief Is the Thing with Feathers is his first book.
Dorthe Nors received the 2014 Per Olov Enquist Literary Prize for Karate Chop, which Publishers Weekly named one of the best books of 2014. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker and A Public Space.
Leslie Jamison has published work in Harper's, A Public Space, Oxford American, and the Believer. Her debut novel, The Gin Closet, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times First Fiction Prize.
