In Al-Maqrīzī's Collection of Opuscules Frederic Bauden offers an analysis of a unique example of this author's production. MS OR. 560, preserved at the University of Leiden since the seventeenth c., consists of a collection of opuscules, most of them authored by al-Maqrīzī but copied by a scribe at his request and emended by the author shortly after. Being the basis for the editions currently published in the frame of the Bibliotheca Maqriziana series, this manuscript is here exhaustively studied for the first time from various points of view, including its history, its contents, its method and context of production. As such, this study also provides insights into al-Maqrīzī's life as a scholar and a writer.
