Megan Hustad attempts to reconcile her evangelical upbringing with a post-Christian America. More than Conquerors recounts the disappointments of her family's post-mission when they practice an obsolete evangelism in a mid-west that no longer feels the same way about them. Hustad will discuss her gracefully told, unpredictable memoir with Ben Lytal.Megan Hustad has written articles, essays, and commentary for The New York Times,New York Post, Salon, Slate, The Big Money, The Daily Beast, The Awl, and American Public Media’s Marketplace, and is the author of How to Be Useful. She has lived in Minneapolis, London, the Caribbean, and Amsterdam, and currently lives and works in New York City.Benjamin Lytal has written for The Wall Street Journal, The London Review of Books,The Los Angeles Times, Bookforum, The Believer, McSweeney’s, Fence, The Daily Beast, and The Nation.  For four years he wrote The New York Sun's “Recent Fiction” column. Originally from Tulsa, Lytal currently lives in Chicago.
