FSG's Work in Progress presents Nerd Jeopardy

Nerd Jeopardy is just like a certain famous game show, except there are no commercial breaks, no giant cash prizes, and all of the categories are about books. You can compete in a team of three against two other teams; the winners will earn the respect of your peers, which we know is impossible to get anywhere else. You can also hang back as an audience member, heckling with abandon. There are assorted prizes either way. You will leave the event vindicated for majoring in 19th-Century Russian Poetry. And because of the free drinks, you will also leave the event slightly tipsy. Hosted by Ryan Chapman and presented by Farrar, Straus and Giroux's Work in Progress. All are welcome.

Our Book Clubs
INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE: Led by Sarah McNally, this discussion group meets downstairs the first Monday of every month, at 7pm. On Monday, March 5th, the book club will be discussing Tove Jansson's The Summer Book.
ESSAYS: Starting in March. Led by Michele Filgate and Sarah Gerard, our Essays Book Group meets in the travel section the first Monday of every month, at 7pm. On Monday, March 5th, the book club will be discussing John Jeremiah Sullivan's Pulphead.
DYSTOPIA BOOK GROUP (all ages): Led by Sarah Gerard, our Dystopia Book Group welcomes readers of all ages on the last Friday of every month, at 6:00pm in the travel section. On Friday, February 24th, they'll discuss The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.
SPANISH WORKSHOP: Led by Javier Molea, this group meets Saturdays downstairs at 1 pm. It's open to all who wish to practice their Spanish while discussing literature. See the Español page for more details.
SPANISH BOOKCLUB: Led by Javier Molea, this group meets once a month at 7 pm downstairs. On Friday, February 24th, the book club will be discussing Trabajos del Reino, de Yuri Herrera (Mex). See the Events page for more details.
Storytimes
BABY STORYTIME: Baby Storytime with storyteller Stewart Dawes takes place on Friday at 4:00 PM for ages 0 to 2.
KIDS STORYTIME: Resident storyteller Yvonne Brooks leads a themed storytime with art projects for kids ages 3 to 8, every Saturday at 11:30 am. See the calendar for more information on the current week's activities.
SPANISH STORYTIME: The next Spanish Storytime with Edda Martinez takes place on Thursday, March 15th at 4:30pm for ages 0 to 4.
PUPPET SHOW: Our next puppet show is March 7th at 4:00 pm, with an original production of "Little Red Riding Hood". This month's featured book is Little Red Riding Hood by Jerry Pinkney. Bring blankets and popcorn, and settle in for a good show. Parents welcome.
