Deseo recomendar vivamente este libro de relatos con el que Marina Perezagua (1978) le da un nuevo impulso
al género fantástico, tratándolo de un modo inquietantemente realista,
como ya hiciesen –de diferente forma– cierto Cortázar, cierto Walser o
cierto Kafka. El singular modo de contar de Perezagua nos presenta
historias muy diferentes donde lo abstracto y lo corpóreo se unen en
rara armonía, completándose. Quitando algún puntual momento de
cursilería, la mayoría de piezas de este libro son excelentes, y un par
de ellas son abrumadoras maravillas, como “Caza
de muñecas”; un extraño homenaje a Ibsen que ha pasado a formar parte
de mis terrores nocturnos desde que lo leí. No se pierdan este libro.

SPANISH STORYTIME: Spanish Storytime with Edda Martinez takes place every Thursday at 4:30 p.m., and includes stories in English and Spanish. Edda provides an upbeat and appealing introduction to Spanish for kids. Ages 0 to 4. Free.
PUPPET SHOW: Our next monthly puppet show is June 6th at 4:30 p.m., with an original shadow puppet production of "The Tortoise or the Hare." After the show, kids and adults can stay for our singalong and meet the puppet performers. This month's featured book is The Tortoise or the Hare by Toni Morrison and Slade Morrison, illustrated by Joe Cepeda. Hosted by Sarah Gerard. All ages welcome. Free.
